This is a fixed (no rotation) shift pattern that uses 3 teams and three 8-hr shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. One team will be permanently on the day shift, one will be on the swing shift, and one will be on the night shift.

Notes For 24/7 operations, schedule plans requiring 4 or more teams are preferable. This plan provides no non-working day and may be unfair to employees who must work the night shifts. However, it may be acceptable for short periods of time when employees live and work in the same areas, especially where there is little difference in daylight between nights and days, e.g. in a submarine.
